When I first started my substack, Things I Like, it was a fun hobby that relieved the stress from creative burnout. But after two years and a couple hundred subscribers, I figure it’s finally time to recognize TIL for what it is: a part-time job (and the best part of my week).

Things I Like is two things: a weekly newsletter that I lovingly call “Everything That Happened In Pop Culture This Week That You Should Know About” that also includes what I’m liking, reading, watching, and sending in my group chats.

And the more occasional emails that are deep dives into my favorite niche pop culture topics like The Four Degrees of Sally Rooney (seen above), How To Watch Love Island, and a lot (a LOT) of Taylor Swift analysis.
